The Hemamali Balika College Kandy, established in 1907, celebrated its 114th Anniversary this year.
And the Devoted Old Girls of the School had donated a much needed brand new bus to their Mother Hemamali to celebrate their long history and as a tribute to their alma mater in appreciation of what they had gained from mother Hemamali.
Following Old Girls and all those who’s names are not included who had shed their time, energy & money in making this dream come true are highly appreciated.

Project Initiated by Devoted Old Girls
The Old Girls of Hemamali initiated this project sometime back planning to give the best present they can offer on the 114th Birthday of their School.
They initiated a fund raising project. Requested Old Girls to donate as much as they can. The committee worked tirelessly to make their dream come true.
There were many pledges soaring through all over by many Maliyans who loved their Mother Hemamali.
It was definitely not an easy task. But there were many genuinely loyal Ladies of Mother Hemamali who were identified with time.
This is a common phenominan for any Old Girls or Old Boys Association of any school, Many to talk and few to actually step out to work in the grassroot level to work.
But Fortunately there were many Maliyans who stepped forward to assist the project.
