Celebrating the Annual Children s day 2020. In line with celebrating the Annual Children’s day 2020, St. Anthony’s College, Kandy a prominent school in Kandy took a different step in being an example for all by reaching out to a needy young group of brothers in Walamitiyawa Junior School in Galewela.
They Donated A much needed Photocopy Machine to the School office, stationery, beautiful school bags, lunch boxes, shoes for the little kids, and refreshments for the day.
It was a gift to see the happy faces of the young kids when they received the presents. The Antonians must have felt the pure gratitude and appreciation from younger children, which I am sure they will continue for years to come.
The St. John’s Ambulance Brigade of St. Anthony’s College had organized the event with the assistance and guidance of teachers and the College management.
It was such a pleasing sight to see the Antonians entertaining younger children and younger children too in turn organizing a felicitating, thanking performance to the visiting friends.
These are the sort of events and ideologies which should be promoted and encouraged among young children to spread friendship, giving, and the Charitable vibe in bringing up humanity back in our younger generations.
The society should be thankful to the organizers and the management of this College.
The College been the Oldest School in the entire Central province established in 1844, has produced highly prominent figures in the Island, Such as the first President of Sri Lanka, National Sportsmen such as Muththaiah Muralidharan, Kalpage brothers, Priyantha Ekanayake, Judges, Attorney Generals, Chief Justices, Statesmen, Inspector Generals of Police, High ranking Offices of the armed forces, world-renowned Scientists, entrepreneurs, it’s no doubt that this attitude and charitable environment promoted and taught to its children produces great citizens to our nation.
