Having a pet is always a blessing… It doesn’t matter whether it is a dog or a cat or even an alligator. They are always great to have around and the best medicine to fix your mood. Say that you are pissed off with one of the family members and suddenly your kitty appears out of nowhere and starts purring by your side or a dog lick your hand. All your mood swings will fly away.

Your favorite animal can change according to your personality. Some prefer to have dogs as their pets while others prefer cats. Your personality can be described based on whether you are a cat lover or a dog lover.

Well, this article will be most important to cat lovers. It doesn’t matter whether you have a Persian, A Turkish Angora, or a Sphynx cat the language that they speak the gestures that they do will be the same.

It is a common myth that these little furballs are a type of animals who comes with an attitude. Well, they are sort of proud mostly timid animals. Cats are not the type who runs towards you with a wiggling tail, but they will definitely be concerned if you are sad and crying.

They give signs from their whole body and by vocalizing.

How they talk and what do they say?

Meow – This is a very general greeting. They will meow to greet you, or even as a demand especially when they see their food bowl is empty and even to object your touch and even to warn about something especially when they see a mouse or a gecko.

Hissing – Hissing can incur with a growl and it means that they are threatened by something. They hiss when they are furious as well. Especially when adult male ones meet with each other they hiss and growl at each other as an invitation for a fight.

Chirping or trilling

You may have seen kitties sit on a window step chirping at birds and squirrels. It is how they get ready to attack their prey. This is also a way that mother cats ask her babies to follow them. They do trill to get your attention.

Purring

Cat owners are masters with experience regarding purring. They sometimes climb to your lap and then start purring. They do this to show their affection towards you. These furballs purr whenever they are happy. Sometimes they purr when they are enjoying their meals. But be aware! They tend to purr when they are sick just to make themselves comfortable. If your velvet pillow has changed its food intake routines and always lying then you better take them to a vet.

What do they say from their ears?
Forwarded ears

This shows that they are interested in playing or curious about something.

Airplane ears

If your furball’s ears are backward and flat this means that they are scared or annoyed by something or someone.

Swirling ears

If your kitty is paying their attention towards something, then they will have their ears swirl.

How do they talk from their eyes?

Kitties do have enchanting eyes. And they express different signals from their eyes.

Dilated pupils

When your furball is playing with its kitty toys you can see wide pupils which demonstrate that they are playful and interested. This also means that they got scared of something if this gesture is combined with other aggressive or defensive gestures.

Stilt pupils

A frightened or an aggressive kitty can have these types of pupils. Especially if they see their milk bowl is empty, then they can give a dissatisfied look with stilt pupils.

Blinky eyes

If your Cat has sleepy-looking eyelids, then slowly blink at it. If it blinks you back that means he or she is sending you kitty kisses. They tend to slowly blink at you if they adore you and want to show they care for you.

What do they imply from their tail?
Puffy tail

A fluffy or puffy tail tells you that your kitty has got scared of something. Either he is planning to attack someone.

Wagging tail

Take the hint your velvet pillow is annoyed to the core. If they flick their tail side to side when you are trying to pet them give it a break. It implies that they don’t like what you are doing.

Twitchy tail

If your kitty is slightly wagging and flick the tip of their tail this means their playful mode is on. After a few twitches, you will see them playing with its tail and running here and there.

Tucked tail

When they feel insecure or when they are moved to a new environment you may see your purr friend is tucking her or his tail between their legs. This is just because they are nervous and anxious.

Question mark tail

You may have seen your kitty’s tail is curved like a question mark. This is a green light for you to do something like introducing a new kitty toy to his or her collection.

Wrapped tail

You may see them sitting and wrapping their cute fluffy tail around their body creating a curve. Wonder why they do this? They do so when they are happy and satisfied. Sometimes they even embrace their pal with their tail just like we are hugging our pals.

The body language
Archy back

When you come home from work your fluff pillow will reach you and arch their back. I know how adorable this is. This is a sign of granting permission to pet them. You can scratch their head and neck and give them feedback.

Belly display

You may have seen your furballs sleeping showing their tummy putting heads and hands in the air. If he or she does this you are a winner! They do this gesture when they completely trust their owner. But don’t ever try to rub their fluffy tummy and if you are doing so there is a high possibility that you will be getting scratched marks.

Infinite rubs

Sometimes they tend to rub themselves around your legs, making an infinity shape. You may think that this is another way that they show their love but you are wrong… They do this just to mark their territory. This is how they mark their limits.

Making bread

Making bread or kneading is a general gesture that can be seen among them. They do this when they are happy and satisfied. If your furball does this more often, then you are a very lucky kitty owner.

These little vibrating furballs have a magical power to turn your gloomy day into a sunny positive one. Knowing about their gestures will help you to have a stronger bond with your kitty. And I’m pretty sure that all the kitty lovers will find this very useful.
